In US, most of the time, we don't have anyone who escoat you
to your seat, so you need to figure out where you gonna seat.
In my neighborhood milonga in California,
they say they have "first come first served" seating, but
VIPs and usual people seat where they sit most of the time.
Therefore, we have the set seating chart there also!!
You'd better not to take the empty VIP seat
or better ask someone.
If you are a first comer, it is really difficult to find out
where to sit, especially there is no obvious separation
like in Buenos Aires: women, men, couples.
When you keep going to the same milongas, you will find out
where they are and who is who.
I would say....people who dance the same style of dance, they
are likely to sit together or close.
I would say....every milonga is different.
When I visited New York, I've been to a really crowded milonga
where they don't have enough seat for everyone.....
Most of the people were standing all the time although
the milonga was very busy and full of energy.
The only complain was......I got so tired.....
