[ Seating---座席は暗黙の指定席 ]

Now you paid your entrada and are going behind the curtain with your entrada ticket. (lots of places have curtain or a door to the dance floor and you don't usually see people dancing from the place you pay)

入場料を払い、チケットをもらったら、 さあ、カーテンの向こうのミロンガへ・・・・、 たいてい、入り口はカーテンか、ドアで仕切られているので、 外からは誰が踊ってるのか、客は入っているのか、わかりません。

You will find a person or two (guy and lady) who are probably the organizer(s) of the milonga, or sometimes waiters.

入ってすぐ、席へエスコートしてくれる主催者がいます。 その人が、あなたをどこへ座らせるのかを決めるのです。

They will seat you where you seat.
I found out there are set seating charts in most milongas as I wondered why everytime I went to a specific milonga they made me sit on the exactly same chair....

because.....I am and no doubt I look so.
This foreigner section is mostly located in the worst corner or the way behind.
Yes, VIP dancers are going to seat on the first row closest to the dance floor because.....they are their loyal customers and dance good.
AND even if the other tables are full, they will not let other people take that seat until the last minutes unless they are also first class customers.
YEAH this is CLASS and BUSINESS.

私の実体験から、ミロンガには暗黙の席順があることを知りました。
なぜかというと、ブエノスアイレスに来て間もないころ、あるミロンガへ いくと、なぜかいつも同じ席に座らされていることに気づいたのです。
それは「外国人席（！！！）」で、大抵見渡しの悪い角や、最後列にあります。
わたしは外国人だし、現地人を知らないし、 どうがんばっても外国人にしか見えないから、 当たり前といえば当たり前ですが・・・・。
もちろん、ダンスフロアに一番近い一列目は、常連VIPでダンスの上手な客専用です！
ミロンガは商売で、かつ階級社会・・・・。
VIP席には、その他の席がいっぱいでも、あなたがVIP同等の客でない限り、 遅い時間帯まで他人に座らせることはありません。

Of course, tables in milongas are categorized into 3 sections:
women's, men's and couple's.
Or.... sometimes tables are mixed but at the same table, women seat with women and men seat with men.
If you want to go in a group and sit together, might want to call them up to reserve the table.

一般的に、席は、女性の席、男性の席、カップル専用席、と別れているのが普通で、 もしまぜこぜになっていても、同じ丸テーブルには３，４人の同性しか座りません。
複数のグループで同じテーブルに座りたい場合、 前もって予約の電話をいれておくといいと思います。
